Susan Badger is a seasoned executive, board member, and growth strategist. She has spent over 20 years leading transformation, partnerships, and innovation in the K-20 education and edtech industries. She has a track record of mentoring top talent, launching scalable digital solutions, and driving profitability in both high-growth startups and global enterprises.

As CEO of Thomson Higher Education and Pearson’s Teacher Education and Development business, Susan led the transition from traditional publishing to digital and customizable learning solutions, launching some of the first direct-to-student and ecommerce education platforms. She has also served as a board member and strategic advisor for companies such as Scholarus Learning and TPC Training, guiding market expansion, M&A strategy, and leadership development.

Beyond these roles, Susan has advised private equity firms such as Blackstone, Permira, and Frontenac on edtech investment strategy, M&A, and market trends. She has also worked with innovative education technology companies, including Panopto, Bloomboard, PhET Interactive, OpenStax, and Aktiv Learning.
